Activities in the Area

The area surrounding the hotel offers various solutions for lovers of outdoor activities. Between hills and plains, you can venture out to discover unique and irresistible environments. On foot, by bike or on horseback, moments of total freedom await you.

Walks along Ancient Trails

An ancient trail that winds along the ridge of the Lessinia mountains, has been used for centuries, dating back to ancient times, for transhumance. Nowadays it is transformed into a new tourist route, starting in Soave and reaching San Bortolo, in Selva of Progno. The itinerary passes through the municipalities of Soave, Cazzano, Illasi, Tregnago, Badia Calavena and Selva di Progno.

The Natural Park of Lessinia

Spanning 10.333 hectares, it includes one of the largest pasture areas of Italian alpine arch, reaching an altitude of 1,976 meters above sea level and including 15 municipalities. The Natural Park is rich in natural elements, landmarks and monuments like Covolo of Camposilvano, the abyss of Spluga of Preta, the valley of the sphinxes and the bridge of Veja, which is an impressive natural bridge that was formed 40 million years ago. The park also holds significant historical remnants from World War I, including trenches, galleries, tunnels, and mule tracks stretching across approximately 34 km.

The Natural Park includes a large network of trails, perfect for hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding. In winter, visitors can also enjoy various winter sports.

The Park of Waterfalls of Molina
The Park of Waterfalls of Molina covers an area of about 80.000 sqm, it is rich in watercourses, streams and features a diverse range of flora and fauna.

The village of Molina, named after the ancient water mills built near the streams that flow, using water energy, from perennial springs to the country mountain. Spectacular and scenographic waterfalls formed by cascading streams are easily accessible through well-marked trails inside the park.

The Fossil Museum of Bolca and Fossil deposit of Pesciara

The Fossil Museum is located within the Natural Park of Lessinia and it houses a vast collection of fossils from the tropical marine environment found in the nearby fossil deposit known as “Pesciara of Bolca”, considered the most important site in the world for fossilized fish from Tertiary era.

The crown jewels of the production of our valleys is our wines DOC and DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita which means Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin): Soave, Valpolicella, Amarone, Recioto e Durello. Numerous wineries are open for visits: you will be able to discover the production process, to visit the cellars, vineyards and, of course, enjoy wine tastings.

If you prefer to relax 100%, you can comfortably enjoy a pleasant wine tasting, while staying cool in the swimming pool or admire the view from our terrace overlooking the Valley of Illasi. Our staff will be happy to guide you in discovering the best wines of Verona.

The extra virgin olive oil from Veneto DOP is the king of our table. A visit to the olive mills in our valley is an experience not to be missed! In our restaurant, you can taste the oil from some producers of the valley: choose your favorite!

Among the gastronomic excellences of our valleys are the Monte Veronese DOP cheese, produced on the Lessini Mountains, Brenton’s sopressa, Soave ham, peas from Colognola ai Colli, asparagus, chestnuts, and cherries from Cazzano.
