January :

  • Costeggiola di Soave Saturday 22, Sunday 23, ancient festival of Sant' Antonio Abate called "Festival of the Rufioi"
  • Monteforte D' Alpone: very important is the "Foot race of Sant' Antonio Abate" called the Montefortiana march, international event that is held in the occasion of the festivity of the patron saint.

February :

  • The “Festival of the pearà" is held in Illasi, where one can taste the pearà sauce with cotechino (kind of spiced Italian sausage)
  • Very famous, even beyond Veronese borders, is the carnival of Monteforte d' Alpone, or as they call it here, the "Carnevalon dell' Alpon." Such an occasion sees the election of the carnival masks of the town, the King Torbolin and the Sior Carnival.
    All events will be accompanied by rich oeno-gastronomic stands, with the chance to taste gnocchi, chiacchere (grustoli), frittelle and sweet ravioli (rufioi) all accompanied by Soave wine and by the new white wine called "torbolin."
  • A nocturnal parade of carnival float and masked groups is always held in Monteforte d' Alpone on Fat Saturday and an even larger parade that attracts visitors and tourists from everywhere is held on Fat Tuesday.
  • The agricultural fair is held in Soave on the last Tuesday of the month.

March :

  • On the first Sunday of the month the march among the hills is held in Montecchia di Crosara

April :

  • Between the end of April and the beginning of May an international exhibition of electric, ancient and collector’s guitars will be held in Soave

May :

  • "The pea festival" is held in Colognola ai Colli on the third weekend of the month. In addition to wine, peas are the typical product of the town of Colognola. The importance of this product in the economy of the town is demonstrated also by the carnival tradition, which elects the King Pea (Re Biso) and the Queen Lasagna among its typical masks. Indeed, the traditional dish is lasagna with peas
  • "The showcase of local wines" is held in Colognola ai Colli
  • Several music events are held in Montecchia di Crosara
  • The medieval festival of white wine is held in Soave on the third Sunday of the month. On this occasion authorities of the Veneto region and renowned people from all over Italy gather in the Castle of Soave to participate in the ceremony during which the Order of the Imperial “Castellania di Suavia” (an association of "maidens" who share a love for Soave wine, created in 1971) renews the ritual of the Lady of the Castle, the princess of Swabia who in the XIV century married Federico della Scala, count of Valpolicella, who discovered regenerating qualities in the white wine of Soave.
    During the wine festival a re-enactment of "medieval life,” with people dressed up in period costumes, a historic procession, the reproduction of a medieval market and the representation of ancient arts and trades, is held inside the walls.
  • The investiture ceremony of the chatelaines of the Imperial Chatelaine of Swabia is held at the castle in Soave with an historic procession and the participation of numerous brotherhoods.
  • In addition, towards the end of the month the famous festival of wine (first held in 1959) and of artists in the public square, is held in Monteforte d' Alpone. On this occasion prizes are awarded to wine-producing companies and to the Soave wine. All this is accompanied by a series of very interesting folkloric and oeno-gastronomic events. In addition, this becomes an occasion to participate in guided tours of the wineries of Monteforte and conventions dedicated to the Soave wine.
    Lately the wine festival has been accompanied by the "Vininchiostro" event, where it is possible to taste wines and other specialties of many agricultural companies of the area.
  • The Lessini Durello wine festival is held on the third Sunday of the month in Roncà, in connection with a national cycling race.

June :

  • The provincial cherry show, called "La Sagra delle More" is held on the first Sunday of June in Cazzano di Tramigna
  • The cherry festival is held on the third Sunday of June in Montecchia di Crosara
  • The festival of cherries and vin santo (sweet wine) is held on the first days of the month in Brognoligo
  • The festival of the cherries di Castello is held on the last Sunday of the month in San Giovanni Ilarione
  • An event with the participation of national and European choruses is held on the last Saturday of the month in the courtyard of the Scaligeri Castle of Soave.

July :

  • The festival of Santa Maria Maddalena is held on the third Sunday of the month in Castelcerino di Soave
  • On the occasion of Santa Maria Maddalena, the Ancient Palio dei Mussi (donkey race), during which the jockeys ride donkeys, is held on the fourth Sunday of the month in Terrossa. Before the race there will be a carnival-like parade of carts

August :

  • August 5th: the Festival of the Madonna of the Castle is held in Montecchia di Crosara
  • On August 10th, on the night of San Lorenzo, a rich oeno-gastronomic event is held in Monteforte d' Alpone

September :

  • An iris exhibition is held in Cazzano di Tramigna on the second Sunday of the month
  • The famous "GRAPE FESTIVAL" is held in Monteforte d' Alpone on the second Sunday of the month. During the festival, the “contrade” of the town compete to win the “palio” (prize) in the grape treading contest, an ancient rural tradition
  • The grape festival, which originated in 1929 from an idea by Luigi Zanini, then president of the Cooperative Wine Growers’ Association of Soave, is held on the third Sunday of the month in Soave. It is accompanied by numerous events: photography and painting exhibits, conventions on wine, music and dancing and of course the chance to taste the Soave wine. The festival closes with the “burning of the castle,” a spectacular fireworks show

October :

  • A Montecchia di Crosara è organizzata una serie di manifestazioni teatrali
  • La seconda domenica del mese si tiene a San Giovanni Ilarione la festa delle castagne

December :

  • During Christmas time a giant nativity scene, the largest of the Veneto region, is held at the Palazzo del Capitano in Soave, and an exhibition of nativity scenes through art and culture is held in the church of Santa Maria dei Domenicani

An antique market is held in Soave on the third Sunday of every month.
